About Truro’s First Nations Peoples

Truro sits near the south-eastern corner of Ngadjuri country, as decreed by the successful land title claim to the High Court.  Ngadjuri Country extends to the north as far as the southern Flinders Ranges, taking in much of the Mid North.

The hills to the east and south of Truro are of significance to the Peramangk people, according to local elders.

We acknowledge and respect the ancient and ongoing connections of First Nations people to this place.
