The Bushwalking Season Opening Day was a Success for Truro.

Sunday 1 April saw hundreds of bushwalkers converge on Truro to open the 2012 Walking Season. Trails SA, The Walking Federation of South Australia. and the The Lavendar Federation Trail held an event catered by the Truro Association, along with the Red Cross, school parents and the Truro CFS. Barossa Council Mayor Brian Hurn and Stuart MP Dan Van Holst Pellekaan addressed the walkers, who trekked trails in and around Truro on a perfect day.  The Lavender Federation trail begins at Murray Bridge and takes a course north to the Barossa and beyond. The trail will pass through Truro on its way to Eudunda and eventually to Clare.

The Bike Park at Truro is closer to reality!

The Truro Association and Mid Murray Council have been working together to develop plans for a BMX Track at the Truro Oval.
